WHAT A LEADER DOES To be a CISV leader, you need to be at least 21 years old and speak English. A criminal background check is required, but what really matters is your positive, open-minded attitude. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about education and excited to connect with people from different cultures. Be ready to embrace new experiences, try new foods, and meet new people along the way! CISV is a global movement dedicated to building peace through friendships across cultures. Since 1950, we’ve been bringing together young people from all over the world to create meaningful connections and learn how to make a difference. Today, with 69 Member Associations and over 200 Chapters worldwide, we continue to inspire a new generation to take action for a more just and peaceful world. BeingaCISV leader means creating positive change through friendship, cultural exchange, and understanding. CISV leaders inspire young people to connect, collaborate, and take action—promoting peace and cooperation in every corner of the world.
