We are seeking an advisor for our Junior Branch. Ideally this person would have a background in CISV, a passion for peace education, and a willingness to work alongside our Local Junior Representatives.
The CISV book club will be reading the book Caste by Isabel Wilkerson. Former International and CISV USA President, Brett Vottero will be facilitating the discussion on Monday, November 9th at 8pm EST.

CISV USA Ride the Peace Wave for 17 Days Challenge! (September 21 – October 7)
Peace Day observation and commitment kicks off our biggest CISV USA event the challenge of the year, Ride the Peace Wave 17 Day Challenge! Join other CISVers, friends, and community members as we share the mission of CISV and showcase CISV 2020 Year of Sustainable Development. Spend the next 17 days
by challenging yourselves in conjunction with the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to transform our world. Registrants will follow along on their own or as a family and commit themselves to make small changes to make a positive difference.
Then October 8 th , CISV founder Doris Allen’s Birthday, share your ideas and activities and help flood Social Media with positivity and ideas for others to see and catch the wave!
ALL are welcome-tell your friends-share with your classmates, make a difference!
$10 for youth ages 0-18
(Active JB members over 18 are eligible at the youth registration price)

All registrants will receive a link to printable event BIB to wear and share your activities in addition to a printable calendar with the 17 Day Sustainability Challenge and Celebration Day to remember CISV Founder Doris Allen.

2020 is the Sustainable Development year in CISV, register to make positive change.
Through our partnership with AFS Intercultural Programs, we invite CISVers to apply for the AFS elearning programme Global You Adventurer – an engaging experience that helps develop attitudes, knowledge and skills for active global citizenship. Aimed at ages 14-17, it has global accessibility
and covers educational goals and content CISV shares with AFS. Content includes modules on Emotional Intelligence, Self-Awareness; Awareness of Others, Bridging Differences.
The programme consists of a series of online modules with videos subtitled in English & Spanish (more languages added in future), an online forum for connecting & reflecting with global peers, 4 live dialogue sessions run by qualified facilitators via Zoom, fun interactive quizzes and assignments to reinforce learning, and 16 hours of global connections and learning spanning 5 weeks.
