Thank you for your part in making CISV Cincinnati vital and engaged in building global friendship! CISV Cincinnati is an all-volunteer organization. Your support helps us educate and inspire more youth from our local community. One of the ways you can sustain our chapter is through your membership, and by encouraging family and friends who have seen the positive impact CISV has had for you to become members, too. Please consider renewing your membership or becoming a member at just $25 for an individual or $50 for a family by clicking the following link. Information from CISV USA here.
Did You Know?
Your gift to CISV Cincinnati could be matched dollar for dollar by your employer. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees, retirees and/or employees’ spouses. Find out if your employer has a matching gift program today!
We hope you are all doing well! We held our final board meeting for the 2020-2021 year and will have our next meeting in August. We have a few transitions with vital volunteer roles in our chapter that I want to share.
After nearly a decade of service, Karen Huelsman is stepping down as the VP of Recruiting. She has opened the world of CISV to a countless number of people and like each of them, we are grateful for her! Thank you, Karen! Another huge thank you to Carla Baker Smith – she has been actively involved in our chapter for nearly a decade and has served in many important roles including VP of Programs and most recently Family Events Coordinator. Thank you Carla, for all you have done for our chapter! We welcome Jennifer Davidson to the recruiting team and Tiffiny Dawson to the role of Family Events Coordinator. We are thrilled to have you!
We look forward to celebrating CISV’s 70th Anniversary with all of you. We can’t wait to get back to our beloved programs that will educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world for the next 70 years!
Have a great summer.
JB Cincinnati Updates
National Service Project
Despite low turnout, our NSP was still a success! This was our first in-person event, and we can’t wait to do another!
We don’t have anything to announce right now, but we will be announcing dates for future activities soon. The best way to learn about these events is by signing up for Remind.
We want to hear what you’ve thought of the activities and other JB events we’ve hosted over the past few months. Please fill out this feedback form to let us know how we’re doing and when you prefer activities to take place. Form here.
JB Communication (Remind, Discord, and Instagram)
As a reminder (haha), we use Remind to communicate with JB. Here we send out info on activities, service projects, and more. To sign up, click this link. If you just want to receive text notifications, then text @cisvjbc to 81010
If you’d like to join, we also have a Discord server. We’ve mostly switched to using Zoom for activities, but this is still a place where other JBers are. Link here.
We have created a new Instagram account to share activities and other CISV news! You can follow it at @cisvcincinnati_jb.
